Ms. Baik was born to a South
Korean Christian family where her father serves as a Pastor. She was taught
faith values from an early age, and accepted the call of Jesus as a young girl.
While facing many challenges away from her family at an early age, she has
relied on her faith to sustain her.
Job 23:10 is a promise that
she has held dear in many trials that continues to sustain her in the Jinviolin
Ministry. "Yet He knows the way I have taken; and when He has tested me, I will
emerge as pure gold". She strives for that purity in her life to please the
Lord, and to win the Gold Crown of Righteousness to lay at the feet of Jesus.
Her parents saw her music interest and talent, and enrolled her in violin
lessons and music theory lectures at the age of four. One can see she has
emerged from the crucible of the early years as the violin gold standard. She
especially is grateful to her parents who made many sacrifices for her and she's
happy to honor them for all they taught her about Jesus.
Often she was at the place of
darkness and despair, but the words of her father and the verses she recalled
brought hope again and again, and she was able to push through to the next phase
of her intense training.
Even today she would tell you
that she relies upon God's help in all she does. When trouble comes and
seemingly no explanation for its arrival, she has trusted God according to
Romans 8:28 that even affliction works together for the good of those who love
Him and are called according to His purpose.
She studied at the Shenyang Conservatory, (Academy of Music) in China,
Conservatory in Kiev, Ukraine (Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music),

Germany. She enrolled early Professional Orchestra in her last degree of
Konzertexamen, and worked as full-time First Violin Bielefelder Philharmonic.
She plays a violin made by Howard Needham in 2011, which is modeled after a
violin by Antonio Stradivari.
While studying in Hanns Eisler Berlin, she participated in workshops with world
famous Conductors Seiji Ozawa, Zubin Mehta, and Simon Rattle, and performed in
Berlin Philharmonie Hall. She has maintained her interest in Chamber music, and
has a Master Degree in Chamber music with the Auryn String Quartet that included
a CD Project with highest honors.
Ms. Baik was taught Orchestra Excerpts by Berliner Philharmoniker, and played
with the Deutsche Symphony Orchester Berlin. In addition to her studies, she
trained as an Orchestra Member in Junge Deutsche Philharmonie, performed in
Opera House Frankfurt, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Dresden Philharmonic Hall, Munich

performance list of Ms. Baik.
Ms.
Baik had Master classes with well-known violinists Midori, Arnold Steinhardt,
(First Violin of the Guarneri Quartet), Roman Nodel, and Igor Ozim among others.
She has considered all studies, training, and performances as auditions to be a
flexible player at every position.
While she was a member of the Young German Philharmonic, she was selected as one
of the musicians for an American concert tour and performed in San Francisco
with the Berkeley Symphony under conductor Kent Nagano. Ms. Baik found great
American music peers while performing in the US and has remained in the US.
Always cool under pressure, she has performed in Carnegie Hall, Berlin
Philharmonie Hall, and Vivaldi Four Seasons as a Solo Violinist with Ensemble
Kalos. She has presented Recitals with great reviews, made two Sonata CDs, and
occasionally performs in well known groups like the Trio Kalos.
She is often invited to government and church events as a Solo Violinist in the
Washington D.C. area where she has settled. She works with select youth music
